How do I join or leave a group?

To join a group, find the group in the groups directory and click the plus button on the group photo. If you want to join a password-protected group, you will need to get the password from the group administrator. If you would like to join a private group you will need to ask the group administrator to add you to the group.

To leave a group, click “My Stuff” then “My Groups”. Click the minus button on the group photo to leave the group.

How do I create or delete a group?

To create a group, open the group directory and click “Add Group”.

Give your group a name, description and choose a photo. Next, choose what type of group you are creating. You can password protect your public group. There is no need to password protect a private group as they are not listed in the group directory (members must be added manually).


To delete a group, find the group in the group directory and click the group administration button. Next, click the “DELETE GROUP” button.


How do I make someone a group administrator?

To make someone a group administrator, open the group directory. Click the group administration button on the group photo. In the group administration dialog, click “Members” at the top. Next, find the member and click the checkbox for “Group Administrator?”


How do I add or remove an Oikos member from a group?

To add someone to your group, open the group directory. Click the group administration button on the group photo. In the group administration dialog, click “Members” at the top. Type the email address for the person you want to add to your group and click the “Add” button.

To remove someone from your group, open the group directory. Click the group administration button on the group photo. In the group administration dialog, click “Members” at the top. Find the person you want to remove and click the minus button on their account photo.


How do I change my group’s name or description?

Open the group directory and click the group administration button on the group photo. Type a new name or description.


How do I change my group’s photo?

Open the group directory and click the group administration button on the group photo. You will see your group’s current photo. Click the “Click to change group photo” button and select from the default set or upload your own.


Why can’t I upload media to my group’s media albums?
Only group administrators can upload media to the group’s media albums.


Why can’t I post a blog in my group?
Only group administrators can post to the group’s blog.


Why can’t I add an event to my group’s calendar?
Only group administrators can add events to the group’s calendar.
